ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN & PLANNING PERMISSIONS
This project is an example of how we can help clients to utilise their garden space to include office spaces, exercise studios or even a boat shed. These can be 'temporary structures', which fit within permitted development or more complex structures supported by a planning application. Fully insulated with cold or warm roof construction, flat roof or pitched, electrics and plumbing, if required, these structures can be designed to fit in any garden.
For this particular project to avoid the need for a planning submission, the entire area was excavated, allowing the whole sub-frame to be dropped into the hole. This allowed the final internal floor to be level with the lawn and gave good headroom for the 4m wide bi-fold door, while keeping the roof height below the required limits. Fully insulated with a 'warm roof' construction, the room is warm and cosy even on the coldest of winter days.
